Position

Logistics & Operations Analyst, Americas

This rolewill support the Manager of Logistics and Operations on all administrative task, reporting, stock auditing, shipping follows up, invoicing, daily updates, shipment tracking, daily store flow and weekly presentation updates. By supporting the team on a variety of analysis and projects, the Operations Specialist will acquire an understanding and knowledge RIMOWA multi-channel and multi-country supply chain.

This role is based in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Your Responsibilities:

Network Design and Warehouse Mapping

  • Manage all aspects of inventory control and processes to ensure inventory stock remains at the proper levels
  • Responsible for building inventory processes and systems to adequately support business operations and will include both recurring and ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Conduct regular analysis on stock and trends to ensure robust inventory and reduced backorders
  • Collaborate with 3PL Operations team to properly forecast stock inbound and outbound
  • Manage supplier database through identifying new suppliers and streamlining existing suppliers
  • Assess procurement trends and adjust accordingly
  • Sustain open communication and responsiveness with operations to better serve client and store networks
  • Maintain KPIs and track reporting for accuracy; communicate findings with management
  • Controlling, Updating, and Improving system specific parameters; reducing errors
  • Monitoring entire automatic warehouse control systems
  • Corrective situations: Intervene and improve hardware and software disturbances
  • Preventative maintenance on all functional operations as it pertains to automatic warehouse

  • Conduct minor to mid-level repairs
  • Preventative maintenance on all functional operations as it pertains to the warehouse.
  • Be robust to business evolutions, anticipate trends having consequences for warehouse design and transport mapping.
  • In collaboration with Global Logistics & Transportation Team, review continuously the design of the network, to adapt our warehouses map to business challenges and optimize costs. Implement the designed network in North America.
  • Follow up with vendors and monitor conditions to drive performance and productivity.
  • Support Logistics Manager on monitoring service providers’ performance and run performance meetings for short mid long-term performance.
  • Maintain relationship with Freight Forwarders and Suppliers to keep track of purchase orders and provide updates to make sure the DC is appropriately prepared to receive incoming merchandise without impacting the process and outflows of sales orders.
  • Update inventory records and communicate timely information to the procurement, marketing, and sales departments to make sure orders (purchase and sales) are processed in due time and to maximize sales orders fill rate.
  • Physical Inventory analysis.
  • Provide support to Accounts Payable and Trade Compliance team
  • Conduct entry audits and verify third party invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Help maintain a healthy inventory and stock coverage.
  • Sales reporting tailored to sales and marketing teams’ needs
  • Develop new processes to gain efficiency and productivity.
  • Support on all projects for logistics performance level, lead time and productivity plans.

Profile

Profile:

  • 3 years in Data Analytics and Warehouse Management
  • Proficient in Spanish. French is a major plus.
  • Experience with Luxury Retail is a major plus.
  • BA or BS from an accredited University
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve operations issues
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve complex issues, create new ideas and define new ways to move forward
  • Strong decision-making skills and out of the box thinking
  • Effectively works independently & in a cross-function team while building networks
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency with the flexibility to shift gears as priorities change

Additional Responsibilities:

Community, Project & Development

  • Strongly collaborate with Sales, Finance and Global Logistics Department to anticipate strategic changes.
  • Represent business needs and liaise with IT Team for future enhancements of trade compliance and logistics related information systems.
  • Show initiative to create new strategies and processes for constant optimization.
  • Create potential synergies with other brands of LVMH group.

Monitor Warehousing Performance

  • Monitor service providers’ performance and run performance meetings for short mid long-term performance.
  • Implement and follow actions plans service level, lead time and productivity plans.
  • Shorten the lead times between sales/order, preparation/shipping, shipping/delivery.
  • Ensure stock accuracy >99.9% for each warehouse. Stock in WMS = Stock in ERP = Physical Stock.
  • Identify optimization priorities and implement action plans to reduce costs while maintaining service level (or upgrade service while maintaining costs).
  • Oversee receiving, shipping, warehousing, inventory control, order fulfillment
  • Conduct physical (cycle, quarterly and annual) counts of products and reconcile them with data to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Inspect and maintain all warehouse equipment
  • Support with prepare an annual budget, plan out expenses, analyze any variances, and make necessary corrections to help the company achieve financial objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Maintain dock and storage facilities in an organized and safe manner.
  • Work with purchasing, as required, to support supply chain activities.
  • Implement productivity initiatives, and automation programs to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Resolve all on site logistical problems related to inbound and outbound movements in cooperation with the 3PL provider.
  • File claims as necessary and communicates with the Finance team.
  • Develop, track, and drive business performance through the effective use of Key Performance
