JOB DESCRIPTION-Registered Dietitian
Our clients Student Nutrition program provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S., offering a variety of dining options including breakfast and lunch programs, after-school snacks, catering, nutrition education, and retail operations to public and private education institutions. They collaborate with schools to create culinary experiences that support student success, aiming to provide healthy, nutritious meals and an outstanding dining experience for communities.
Position: Registered Dietitian I
The Registered Dietitian I plays a key role in providing a nutritionally sound and cost-efficient food services program that meets student needs while complying with local nutrition regulations. They use technical training and government-mandated nutritional standards to develop healthy menu implementation plans and may collaborate closely with Food & Beverage Development and management teams.
Responsibilities: Registered Dietitian
- Plan menus according to guidelines.
- Regularly visit school cafes.
- Support the maintenance of recipe development, menu production, and foodservice management standards.
- Conduct nutrient analysis for all food items served.
- Educate clients and consumers about healthy food choices through school training and community outreach.
- Assist with new employee training.
- Work with management and supervisors to ensure the delivery of quality food services.
Qualifications: Registered Dietitian
- Previous relevant work experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with coursework approved by appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies.
- Maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements.
- Formal eligibility to practice dietetics in applicable geographic location.
- Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
- Maintain a contagious and positive work ethic to inspire others.
