Health Services Director

70 Unit Memory Care Community

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of resident care, including resident programming, staff management and development, and community regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for managing the core functional areas of resident care; including assessing and reassessing residents, communication with physicians, team member performance and scheduling, and auditing for regulatory compliance.
  • Must exemplify and promote the community’s standards of safety, friendliness, a homelike setting and efficiency at all times and ensure that these standards are upheld by all team members in the community.
  • Will assist with the training of staff and developing departmental policies and procedures as the community continues to increase resident population.
  • Accountable for the organization, planning and development of all functions and care provided by the resident services/nursing department
  • Will manage the healthcare of all residents including dissemination of information to families and associates.
  • Ensure that healthcare programs are being implemented and utilized to their fullest potential.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training all associates in resident services.
  • Ensure associate schedules are based upon budgeted FTE’s and that assignments guarantee efficiency.
  • Review community resident services/healthcare policies and procedures in conjunction with all associates and modify or develop new ones when needed.
  • Provide “hands-on” care when needed to meet the needs and services of the residents.
  • Assist in completing resident evaluations prior to move-in as well as scheduled and change of condition, and update or resident care plans.
  • Manage orientation and training of associates in resident services.

Qualifications:

  • RN – Registered Nurse, state of Oregon.
  • 4 years’ Nurse Management experience in a Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Memory Care environment.
  • Strong understanding of Oregon ALF regulations, with successful survey experience.
  • Able to actively foster and cultivate a highly functional resident care team and foster a caring community culture.
  • Exhibit good business judgment and have strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
