Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and timely for employees using payroll software/system.
- Calculate wages, deductions, commissions, and other adjustments as per company policies and regulations.
- Verify and reconcile timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax payments and filings in a timely manner.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Assist with the preparation of payroll reports, including earnings summaries, tax reports, and labor distribution.
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
