The Warehouse Operator uses various equipment to deliver raw materials, drums and totes necessary to the production area accurately, safely and in a timely manner. In our Shipping area, the Warehouse Operator is responsible for safely handling raw materials and finished goods to be shipped out to our internal and external customers This role also has additional responsibilities in Shipping and Receiving departments.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Equipment includes, but is not limited to:
Propane powered forklifts (Hilo)
Battery operated forklifts (Hilo) including Hi-Reach Pivot Mast
Battery operated transporters
Battery operated trans-stackers
Battery operated sweeper / scrubber
Propane operated scrubber
Hand-held scanner units (RF Terminals)
Powered Stretch-wrap machine
·Perform the following duties - to include but not limited to:
Deliver requested stock to the production floor
Unload inbound trailers
Load outbound dirty tote trailers
Unload clean empty Totes and Drums
Use hand-held scanners to relieve and add to plant inventory
Maintain area safety and housekeeping standards
Confirm Transfer Orders for Outbound Deliveries
Stage loads for shipments
Load shipment on designated carriers
Accurately and timely put stock away (applies to both areas)
Pallet/Bin consolidation
Assist with area Cycle Counting
· Follow all site and area guidelines pertaining to all functions within the plant and assigned tasks (examples: breaks / lunch, availability for work)
· Must be flexible to working overtime (coming in early, staying late, working weekends) as needed
Quals--
Prior Forklift and Warehouse experience requested.
Active forklift certification is a plus.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
