Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Excellent analytical skills required to read, understand and identify and perform required functions.

The role of the collector is to effectively manage the department. He/she is responsible for the timely and accurate submission, collections, and management of claims and accounts. He/she is also responsible for the development of billing and collection procedures and systems, constantly updating and improving them. His/her role is vital to the clinic’s business as revenues are highly dependent on his/her expertise to collect the funds due and manage the accounts and department efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills:

• 1 year medical billing experience or 1 year equivalent experience preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Minimum 50 wpm typing

• This person must be able to work independently as well as work as part of a team with other staff members
• Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices, hands-on experience in medical billing software, knowledge and experience in basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices

The position is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
