Minimum Education and Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg/Tele:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Med/Surg/Tele RN License/Certifications

• Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota or if licensed in another state, a permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing while the license application is in process
• BLS Certification
• TNCC or successful completion of trauma education that meets the requirements of the state trauma system within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications for a Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg/Tele

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Oncology certification

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities for a RN - Med/Surg/Tele

• Demonstrate critical thinking and decision making
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team
• Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to work and multi-task in a high stress and fast paced environment
• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
