Plant Manager – Manufacturing

Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. We currently employ approximately 600 people across our four locations

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager, for our Grand Rapids, MI location, who has the desire, capability and experience to passionately lead a 3-shift operation. The successful candidate will have a servant leadership style that aligns with our Mission Statement and guiding Principles. Qualified candidates will have proven and demonstrated success and possess the following skills and qualifications:

Primary responsibilities:

· Champion a culture of operational excellence and teamwork.

· Demonstrate and coach a supervisory philosophy that balances the need for production results and process accountably, along with sincere appreciation and respect for all members of the team.

· Provide direction and coordinate the activity of production Supervisors to achieve corporate objectives in safety, quality and productivity.

· Identify, propose and facilitate activities to drive intentional, incremental and sustainable improvements.

· Successfully lead a 3-shift operation to safely and efficiently accomplish the production schedule.

· Support quality initiatives and corrective action processes as required.

· Cultivate positive employee relationships through proactive communication, timely response to employee concerns and follow through on requested information.

Qualifications:

· Leadership style that aligns with the Ridgeview MISSION STATEMENT and guiding Principles.

· Previous experience in a manufacturing leadership position. [5 Years] Automotive preferred.

· Bachelors degree preferred.

· Metal stamping experience preferred.

· Passion and discipline to follow well defined procedures.

· Demonstrated track record of holding teams accountable in achieving results.

· Ability to influence and facilitate teams, regardless of reporting structure, in accomplishing our mission statement and key measures.

· Desire and commitment to spend time on the manufacturing floor to encourage employee engagement and understand the pulse of the production team.

· Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making.

· Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information in a clear, open, honest and accurate method.

· Dedicated to teamwork and putting the value of team success before individual interest.

· Exhibits servant leadership characteristics.

· Familiar with and support IATF 16949 requirements, audit process and corrective actions.
