Support Representative I, Shop Technician
POSITION PROFILEIntermediate level position. Work in a production shop with minimal supervision, setting up copiers and other equipment for delivery to customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities�· Sets-up and preps all assigned equipment and performs operational checks, making all necessary adjustments utilizing the Supply Chain Install/Return Checklist.
�· Able to program equipment to match specific customer requirements, following Customer Configuration Document (CCD) specifications.
�· Analyzes and troubleshoots equipment failures to determine necessary corrective action and makes repairs as required.
�· Responsible for closing job in WMS - tracking hours to manage productivity.
�· Achieves productivity and quality standards.
�· Responsible for tools and other company assets assigned.
�· Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
�· Completes all required administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
�· Assists in on-the-job training of new shop technicians.
�· Completes training courses assigned by Shop management.
�· Adheres to all facility security and safety rules.
�· Follows all company policies and procedures.
�· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Typically requires:
�· High School Diploma or GED preferred.
�· Mechanical/electronics trade school is a plus.
�· Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
�· Requires intermediate technical knowledge (mechanical, electronics, and basic computer skills)
KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities�· Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
�· Good organizational skills.
�· Good work habits and professional demeanor.
�· Good communications skills.
Working Conditions, MENTAL aND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
�· Typically, a warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
�· Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data and instruction �· prepare, provide and convey diversified information.
�· Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
�· Physical effort is required in the lifting of tool cases, and assorted equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as the ability to move objects on wheels that may weigh up to 700 pounds.
�· Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service equipment at floor level.
�· May be required to work overtime or outside the normal working hours when the need arises.
