Principal Program Manager, Solution Manager

Remote Position

POSITION PROFILE

The Solution Manager ensures project delivery, from planning to execution, interacting and orchestrating the multiple stakeholders on complex technical projects. Engages pre-sale to develop and validate a solution consistent with the customer’s needs matching RICOH capabilities. Working across the organization, develops the roadmap that leverages technology, solutions, and operational methodologies to create an effective project plan for both internal and external customers. The Solution Manager has direct responsibility for the activity of all assigned project team members to ensure successful completion of project objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Integrates with the Sales Capture and Solution Architect during the pre-sales stage to gain complete understanding of project scope, timelines, and delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring assigned projects are delivered on time, on budget, and manages project stakeholder (customer and RICOH) relationships.
  • Interfaces with all areas of RICOH to ensure orchestration of efforts and communications to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Interacts directly with leaders from Sales, Design, Implementation, Digital Service Center, and other assigned Ricoh teams to successfully implement Ricoh products and services.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the assigned project teams to ensure consistent execution of project deliverables.
  • Analyzes project activity versus timelines or requirements and promptly escalates issues to the appropriate leaders.
  • Ability to clearly communicate any risk and project status to key customers and RICOH leadership.
  • Leads execution/ implementation/ delivery of complex cross-portfolio solutions.
  • Develops project RACI document and holds the project team accountable to roles/ responsibilities.
  • Provides knowledge of applicable specific solutions, ability to design, price, scope, and implement, and operate effectively.
  • Develops and manages project governance plans, projects schedules, project milestones, risk identification, issues tracking, and defining success criteria.
  • Interfaces with various customers and Ricoh stakeholders including senior leadership teams (C-level execs, SVP/ VP and Directors) as well as project level resources.
  • Liaises with Client Executives/ Account Manager to mitigate risk and issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Routinely provides program status reporting and executive communications.
  • Provides continuous feedback to the design team to communicate if projects are being scoped properly.
  • Applies strategic thinking to create and execute a plan to achieve project goals tied to expected customer business outcomes.
  • Manages project dependencies among cross-functional teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Master’s degree (Business) preferred but not required.
  • Eight to ten years management experience required with four to five years of that experience directly related to project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to sit for PMP exam within six months of hire date
  • ITILv4 Foundation certification or the ability to sit for exam within 6 months

KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities

  • Mature, flexible, smart, delivery focused individual with good interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and documents. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients, top management, groups, and/or boards of directors
  • Possesses strong organizational skills
  • Possesses strong business and technical acumen
  • Possesses ability to interact in team environment at all levels within organization
  • Must possess ability to create, maintain and publish comprehensive financial and performance reports for assigned projects
  • Ability to discuss solution requirements with technical people both within Ricoh and the customer
  • Must possess advanced skills using word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software

Working Conditions, MENTAL aND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Typically works in an office environment
  • Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects typically less than 10 lbs.
  • Moderate dexterity - regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, hand/eye coordination)
  • Ability to travel, which at times may be up to 80% of work time (overnight when required)
  • May require daily contact with internal and external contacts via phone and in person
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Additional Pay Details

Compensation Range

$150,000 - $165,000 per Year

Bonus Eligible
