Overview:
This is a new bar concept in a historic Newport location with a focus on bourbon. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for our guests. Enjoys a fast paced environment at times, and understands how to create and manage a good vibe.
Responsibilities include:
Crafting high quality drinks quickly
Positive attitude and ability to interact well with guests
Professional appearance and interaction with guests
Good and clear communication
Upsell additional food and beverage items to increase sales
Open to learning new things and concepts
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
Setup and breaking down the bar area before and after shifts
Bar cleaning and occasional mopping
Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Bartender in the food service or catering industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Aloha POS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be at least 21 years old (legal drinking age)
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
