Richmond Waldorf School is seeking a kind, creative, and nurturing substitute teacher for our EC program of children ages three to six years old and for our Grades program of 1st - 8th graders. The substitute teacher provides instruction, manages the classroom environment, and promotes student learning in the absence of the regular teacher. Classes offered at RWS include language arts, literature, math, science, history, geography, drawing, handwork, woodwork, Russian, Spanish, movement, music, and biking.
Essential Functions
- Supervise and ensure all children are safe and treated fairly by peers
- Follow sub plans provided by regular teacher
- Assist and guide the children through lesson work
- Encourage appropriate social interaction
- Relay any relevant information from the day to regular teacher
