Richmond Spine Interventions and Pain Center is Hiring a Practice Operations Manager Near Midlothian, VA

Reports to: Medical Director & Practice Administrator

Richmond Spine Interventions and Pain Center is seeking an experienced Practice Operations Manager to provide practice-wide support to manage the smooth operation, and development of the company’s clinical and administrative workflow including staff sourcing, onboarding, training and supervision of clinical staff. The candidate would be responsible for proper staffing for each physician and location, facility management, leading and directing clinical operations, supervising clinical staff to ensure proper staffing for each physician and location.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day operation of the practice by implementing and overseeing practice policies and procedures.
  • Creates the weekly schedule and ensures adequate staffing for each location and provider. This individual would also ensure that all staff are capable, trained, self-motivated team members, who understand and uphold the practice’s shared purpose and vision, as demonstrated by their actions.
  • Respond efficiently to patient and doctor needs and inquiries
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and standards including HIPAA, OSHA, USDL, and
  • Coordinates with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
  • Ensures key performance metrics for successfully managing a practice are monitored.
  • Assists Practice Administrator in the selection, training, and supervision of all practice staff.
  • Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a strong working relationship amongst staff members and assists, with the Practice Administrator to address concerns.
  • In conjunction with Practice Administrator and Medical Director, organizes regular staff meetings and daily a.m. huddles; seizes opportunities to foster communication, provide company and practice updates, share information, train, continually challenge and develop staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Resolves administrative and operational problems including maintenance of practice property, computer systems and installed software applications.
  • Assists Practice Administrator, Medical Director and executive team develop organizational strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to achieve practice/organization goal

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the management in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures - interventional pain management procedures a plus!
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and claims processing is a plus!
  • Knowledge of Athena EMR is a plus!
  • Demonstrated effective leadership, training, clear and concise written/verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to drive results
  • Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects
