Richmond Creative Counseling, LLC is Hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- PMHNP Near Richmond, VA

Richmond Creative Counseling is seeking several fully-licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to join a new west-end location that will be opening in July 2024. While we will have an opening at our Willow Lawn location, most of these positions will be located in the near West End. These positions involve providing Psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults in a private practice outpatient setting, to include psychiatric evaluation/assessment, medication management, supportive counseling, and treatment coordination with other providers in the practice. A minimum of 25 patient hours per 40 hour work week- salary based on number of weekly billable patient hours the candidate chooses.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be licensed in Virginia to practice as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia; hold current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; have a Master’s degree or higher from a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program; hold a prescriptive authority for Nurse Practitioner in Virginia; have working knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/planning; have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and other health care professionals; have the ability to document findings accurately, thoroughly, and promptly; possess the ability to recognize legal limits of practice; demonstrate experience obtaining and interpreting clinical data and draw satisfactory conclusions; be capable of assessing emergencies and taking appropriate actions. Minimum 2 years work experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with mental health, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders, including substance use, eating disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders. Must be Racially/Culturally competent/sensitive and LGBTQ-affirming. Malpractice insurance will be provided but must provide collaborating MD (if full practice autonomy has not yet been obtained). Although an established PMHNP is preferred, we provide mentorship and clinical supervision with a seasoned Psychiatric Director for newer graduates needing support in their first year or two out of school. At this time, we are not considering any candidates who have not already obtained their MSN and completed/passed their board examination. Strong preference for a PMHNP with private practice experience.

Compensation:

Employee will be reimbursed, in full, biweekly based on an annual salary rate (Range: $140,000-$220,000 Bonus) as a W2 employee. Quarterly bonus opportunity available.

Additional Supports:

PMNHP will have all administrative supports (clinical assistant, front desk staff, credentialing support, billing, access to printer/fax/voicemail etc.) provided. A furnished, private or shared office will be available, as well as clinical coverage by a team of PMHNPs when out of the office. Must be willing to provide coverage for fellow PMHNPs as well. We utilize InSync Healthcare Solutions for electronic medical records, patient billing, e-prescribing, and patient portal. Additionally, we utilize a HIPAA-compliant version of Slack for 24/7 access to colleagues, including multiple channels that are both professional and non-work related (e.g., clinical consultation channels, ethics channels, admin update channels, pet/movie/arts channels, etc.).
