Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation is Hiring a Nutrition Services - Coffee Shop Facilitator Near Ellettsville, IN

EDUCATION/LICENSE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • All appointed staff must obtain a ServSafe Certification before or shortly after a few months of employment. (School Facilitates Training)
  • Universal Precautions, Fire Safety Training and required ESCRFT training (School Facitates Training).
  • Professional Development 6 hours/annual (attendance is mandatory).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned

This person will facilitate the general day to day operation of the coffee shop. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain professional attire: proper uniform, apron on, hands washed and ready to work. Maintain all ServSafe practices and procedures.
  • Assist in getting equipment and supplies ready for service.
  • Oversee student workers with food safety and personal hygiene.
  • Assist student workers with preparation, service and clean-up.
  • Assist student workers with reconciliation of sales.
  • Assist student workers with ordering, production and inventory.
  • Assist student workers with marketing, signage, and promotions.
  • Assist student management workers with staff management.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform basic arithmetical calculation.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Exhibit qualities of maturity and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all School Corporation requirements and policies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the trunk while performing the duties of this job. The specific vision requirements of the job include good depth perception and occasionally being able to see objects/persons at a distance. While performing the duties of the job the employee frequently is required to hear conversation in a quiet as well as a noisy environment and be able to tell from where a sound is coming. The employee must be able to communicate to the team in order to give directions.
