We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home. Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving supports and may include but are not limited to: assistance with personal hygiene, activities/outings, social engagement, and shopping. The hours for this position are: Sundays 2p-7p, Tuesday/ Wednesday 12p-8p (21 hours. week) Flexible days and hoursSupport staff needed to assist a young man with independent living skills, community activities and going out to eat (when safe/appropriate), trying new activities, and social opportunities. Support Services DSP’s receive mileage and activity reimbursements! Paid trainings, including CPR/First Aid DSP’s assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by: Assisting with participation and exploration of the communityCultivating and expanding independent living skillsAssisting with development of meaningful and personal relationshipsImplementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goalsEligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on their driving record.
