Rice County is Hiring a County Ditch Manager Near Faribault, MN
**FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS APRIL 12TH The (County Ditch Manager) develops, manages and coordinates all day-to-day operations pertaining to the Statutory requirements under MSS 103E. This position is the principal public contact for county ditch and tile related matters and recommends solutions to the County Ditch Authority. This position is responsible for the coordination of public drainage system projects. This position works within the County Highway Department and provides related Highway Engineering Technician support including, but not limited to: surveying, construction inspection, material testing and plan development. Work is performed without direct supervision. Examples of Duties:
Manages the County Ditch Drainage Systems.
Develops and manages maintenance and repair projects.
Assists Highway Department in engineering survey, design, construction, and related operations.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:Minimum job requirements include two years of formal training in technical education in civil, agricultural or environmental engineering technology, and (4 or 6 years) of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a related field. A non-commercial applicators license is desired.
Additional qualifications include: Familiarity with Minnesota Statute 103E, Drone Pilot license, knowledge of construction processes and materials testing; working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D system and CAD;knowledge and experience in design of construction projects; MnDOT Technical Certifications in Aggregate production, Grading and Base, Bituminous Street & Plant, good oral and written communication skills; good math skills and good problem-solving skills.HOURS: Business hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week. HIRING RANGE / UNION: $32.72 - $35.84 / GU – Grade 12
