Ricares is Hiring a Recovery Housing Program Manager Near Providence, RI

Position Summary: The Program Manager plans and coordinates the day-to-day administrative, training, and operational activities of our Recovery Housing program. Duties typically include assisting with program planning, implementation, and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides specialized administrative support in the development, implementation, and marketing of our Recovery Housing program.
  • Provide and assure all clients receive an excellent customer experience from initial contact throughout their entire involvement with RICARES.
  • Serves as a central point of contact between Recovery Housing residents and owner-operators, and/or external constituencies, including the state of Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals (BHDDH) on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative matters; assists with seminars, meetings, special projects, and/or general problem resolution.
  • Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of course materials, promotional materials, educational materials, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
  • Maintains program/project records, research information, and gathers and computes various data; prepares special and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources.
  • Performs clerical and administrative support tasks, including the creation, typing, and editing of program correspondence, reports, program handbooks, and other publications.
  • May assist with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
  • Communicates with participants throughout their experience to assure their needs are met with satisfaction. 
  • Review and disseminate information gathered from participant evaluations of RICARES hosted offerings and any other feedback received regarding the delivery of our programs.
  • Serve as an ambassador for RICARES and our Recovery Housing programs in house and in the field.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Facilitation experience with formal or informal learning opportunities.
  • Knowledge and experience with virtual delivery. (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex)
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proven track record in providing an outstanding customer experience. 
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of web-based platforms, social media, and database management. 
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Cross-cultural skills and experience with culturally diverse populations.
  • Knowledge about addiction recovery is a plus.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. (ex. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualification

  • Personal experience with Recovery Housing.
