Our Position

The Clinician I/Clinical Therapist develops a recovery service plan and uses recovery-oriented, therapeutic counseling to engage individuals in their individual recovery journey. The Clinician I/Clinical Therapist also orients individuals to the program by collaborating and assessing needs, identifying challenges and facilitating the development of goals in the treatment and recovery process.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serves as the mental health professional for individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community agency, when applicable.
  • Determines a provisional diagnosis, obtains documentation of medical necessity and submits authorizations for service in a timely fashion.
  • Conducts thorough clinical assessments and treatment plans for services.
  • Assesses the individual's needs and provides appropriate support and referral.
  • Provides short-and long-term recovery-oriented therapeutic counseling and education, on a group or individual basis.
  • Provides family education and family counseling.
  • Completes clinical documentation as required.
  • Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Our Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited school, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years' experience providing psychosocial/mental health services and/or crisis intervention services in a behavioral health setting.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

    • Must be able to pass education verification check.
    • Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
