Inventory and Logistics Specialist
Position: Inventory and Logistics Specialist – Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management and Customer Service. This position reports directly to the Company’s Inside Sales Supervisor.
Responsibilities: This role has ownership and responsibility for the following functions: purchasing, supply chain, inventory, logistics, and customer service. While the role will evolve, below are certain responsibilities for this role.
Supply Chain: End to End ownership of inventory procurement and logistics.
· Source parts and products necessary to fulfill customer orders and future builds.
· Reduce costs by identifying and pursuing cost containment initiatives.
· Identify potential business challenges or risks.
· Receive and reconcile purchase orders and shipments timely.
· Identify and implement continuous improvement and lean projects within the process to increase efficiency and safety.
Inventory: Oversight and responsibility of warehouse inventory.
· Control movements of warehouse inventory utilizing ERP for all transactions.
· Receiving inventory and verification of accuracy against PO’s and Packing slips.
· Bin Movements for inventory when pulling material for part and for build.
· Cycle Counts completed daily to ensure accuracy of inventory.
· Yearly Physical inventory counts and adjustments.
· Setup and implement efficient ways of moving and tracking inventory.
Customer Service: Management of Customer Service resources.
· Ensure highest customer service and positive experiences. Provide timely productive feedback and training as needed.
· Develop and manage to metrics that support positive customer experiences.
· Work with Inside Sales to streamline orders while minimizing deficiencies and redundancies.
Logistics: Oversee the daily shipments for racks and parts.
· Schedule LTL and FTL as needed to ship racks and parts for on-time delivery to customers using 3PL and other trucking resources.
· Complete paperwork necessary to move product thru warehouse.
· Complete and fulfill all work orders for proper inventory movements.
· Receiving orders in and complete paperwork in accordance with Rhino Tool House policies.
· Work with production for local pick up and deliveries for parts and racks.
Expectations: As an Inventory and Logistics Specialist, others take your lead and you have a meaningful influence the culture of our business. While your hours will vary during peak times, this role begins at 7:30am each day.
