Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor

- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member

- Schedule appointments for patients and ensure efficient patient flow

- Verify patient information and update medical records as necessary

- Collect co-pays and process insurance information accurately

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth operations of the front desk

- Handle inquiries from patients regarding medical services, billing, and insurance coverage

- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Skills:

- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is preferred

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines efficiently

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling appointments and managing medical records

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
