Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays using Open Dental and VixWin software
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Educate patients on treatment and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in Open Dental software a PLUS but will train.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment
- Strong understanding of anatomy and oral health
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessments
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Crossed trained for front and back is a PLUS!!!! Also EFDA is a PLUS!!
