We are a very busy Rheumatology office in need of a highly motivated and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. This role performs multiple tasks in the revenue cycle process which may include:

• Detailed and timely account follow up for pended and/or rejected claims
• Understanding and applying co-pay and patient assistance programs
• Claims submission and statement processing
• Patient balance collections

Qualities we are seeking:

• Minimum of 5 years medical billing experience
• Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to handle complex billing issues
• Superior patient relation skills and excellent communication skills
• Must be detail oriented with an ability to multi-task while managing multiple priorities
• Collaborative spirit in working with departments throughout the organization
• NextGen experience is highly desirable
• Coding experience a plus
