Role Intro:
The Shipping and Logisitics Manager is the leader of the Shipping and Receiving operations for Rheo Engineering, with the primary responsibility of ensuring we hit our committed ship dates for our customers.
Role Summary:
The Shipping and Logistics Manager is first and foremost a leader who collaborates across departments to ensure we hit our ship dates for our customers. Their team is responsible for shipping our projects reliably, efficiently, and accurately; and accurately processing all incoming shipments upon their arrival at our facility. They monitor, and improve as needed, all processes related to outgoing and incoming shipments.
Objectives:Supervisory:

• Lead hiring, development, discipline, and termination of Shipping and Logistics

team members

• Supervise employee shipping & receiving operations.
• Build, coordinate, and lead training for all Shipping and Logistics team

members
Non-Supervisory:
Receiving

• Ensure the accurate and safe processing of all incoming shipments to our

facility.

• Ensure the completion of Quality Assurance procedures for incoming parts

requiring inspection.

• Utilize Epicor ERP software for all receipt entry processing.
• Ensure the accurate recording and updating of all receiving data.
• Ensure the accurate labeling and distribution of incoming materials.

Shipping

• Ensure the on-time shipment of all outgoing items.
• Coordinate and schedule all outbound shipments (national & international)

from our facility.

• Utilize Epicor ERP software and shipping vendor software/websites to manage

shipping coordination.

• Ensure the accurate recording and updating of all shipping data.
• Provide estimates on shipping costs for quoting.
• Ensure the accurate picking, boxing, and crating/palletizing (as applicable) of

outgoing items according to ISPM-15 standards.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing team to order custom crates for shipping

projects (as applicable).

• Transport and load/unload materials on shipping dock using hand truck, forklift,

or other vehicle.

• Regularly review and optimize all procedures related to shipping and receiving.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and shipping/receiving

area.

• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Software:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with an Enterprise Resource Planning software (Epicor Kinetic

preferred)

• Ability to quickly learn and understand new software

Experience:

• 4 years of warehouse management, shipping/receiving, and/or logistics

experience including relevant software

• 3 years of forklift driving experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift license/certification
• Bachelor?s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business

Administration, or other related degree.
Working Conditions:

• Must be able to engage in the following physical activities: bend/stoop, climb

stairs/ladders, squat, kneel, push/pull, lift up to 50 lbs, and use vibratory and
other basic tools.

• Expected to work the standard workday of 8 hours.
• Expected to work overtime upon supervisor request.
