Duties:

• Oversees the daily operation of the Marina. Ensures maintenance of facilities is up to established standards.
• Oversee maintenance of company boat fleet.
• Oversee operations of marina store and boat rental.
• Interacts with members and guests on a daily basis to insure that every aspect of the marina experience is a positive experience.
• Maximizes occupancy of slips rented in the dry storage facilities. This is accomplished through advertising and personal contact with new boat owners and through membership.
• Responsible to achieve budget goals including revenue projections, cost of sales, payroll, and operating expenses.
• Works closely with lead technician of the service facility to insure facility is operating according to budget and quality goals.
• Insures the inventory levels of the retail and service facility are maintained to acceptable levels. This is achieved by working with vendors on stocking and ordering merchandise.
• Conduct bi-monthly inventory.
• Provides all necessary information and paperwork to the accounting department for correct boat storage billing. Maintains a file for each boat in storage which includes owner name and address, type of boat and license, serial numbers, and insurance coverage.
• Executes and promotes various marina events such as; Annual boat shows, Full moon Cruises, Fishing Forums, etc.
• Works with Director of Marina Operations and marketing department to create promotional literature, brochures, and articles for newsletter.
• Develops new boating and lake related activities and programs for members and guests.
• Provides support for real estate sales activities and programs.
• Hire and train marina personnel.
• Develops programs to ensure personnel safety and the safe operation and storage of boats under Reynolds Lake Oconee control.
• Assures compliance with state and federal regulations affecting the Marina and Marina
• Participates in on the job training in safety.
• Works with the inventory system in place and provides point of sale entry, receiving, physical inventory support and training of proper staff.
• Participates and follows all purchase order and requisition guidelines of the company when ordering merchandise or paying for expenses needed.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in operating various types of boats and boat motors
• 1-2 years of management and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of boating supplies and equipment helpful.
• Retail experience or understanding of how to properly merchandise a marina store preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead, and train staff
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience in general office and retail operations
• Ability to work with the public, good interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer skills are essential in the use of point of sale, spreadsheet and document uses.
• Knowledge of purchase orders and requisitions preferred.
• Must be familiar with general point of sale and be able to train new staff properly.
• Must have a valid GA driver’s license with a good record.
