Summary:

Member of the Operations Team. Directly supervise Rolled Products off shift supervisors, regularly flexing time to spend on their shifts. Build relationships with employee direct reports. Create and reinforce clear and basic workplace expectations. Lead, motivate, and coach supervisors on continuous performance improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Oversee supervisor learning and development. 

Requirements

 
Annual Goals: 

• Effectively execute defined business goals, including continuous improvement value stream focus.
• Ensure each supervisor has a clear set of defined annual goals.
•  Regularly provide feedback to supervisor regarding goal progress.

Communication and Relationships:

• Support off shift supervisors in the successful day-to-day operations of the Rolling and Bar Mills.
• Review established production scheduling, complete Leader Standard Work Sheets Daily (LSW)
• Work with maintenance supervisor and planner on repairs needed in Rolled Products 
• Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program. 
• Ensure supervisors are reinforcing Operator Basic Care principles.
• Serve as the R&M "Gatekeeper”. Monitors requests for approval, modification, or disapproval; follow up with originator of work request as needed. Ensures all work orders are incorporated into the backlog schedule.
• Ensure supervisors are observing production employee performance and holding regular, daily conversations to fully engage employees on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Follow-up with supervisors on impediments preventing high levels of performance. 
• Provide regular, ongoing feedback to supervisors regarding their work performance using Revere safety, quality, productivity, and attendance data.
• Ensure effective shift-to-shift communications for safety, equipment status, staffing and end of shift report out.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments for purposes of achieving production goals. 
• Uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement; follow and apply all workplace policies and Human Resource procedures; consult HR on issues as needed.

Safety:

Lead actions to create a safe workplace culture by engaging supervisors in their responsibilities involving local safety meetings, safety action plans and safety report follow-up, data collection (observations, tallies, surveys), injury reports, and corrective action follow-up.

Quality:

Lead actions to apply Revere’s process control procedures including the implementation of deviation procedures. Train and coach employees to documented work methods.

Qualifications:

Minimum

• 3-5 years of experience of strong supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Relationship building and leadership experience.

Business PC skills 

Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in production with time spent in supervisor role. 

Education / Training:

Minimum:

• High School/GED
• Leadership training

Desirable: 

• Post High School or vocational education.

Preferred:

• Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• Behavioral Management Leadership Techniques. 

Special Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
