Rev-A-Shelf is Hiring a Demand Planner Near Louisville, KY

Position Summary: Responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. It creates and maintains forecast models for customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts and other sources.

Position responsibilities:

  • Collecting data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand.
  • Analyzing sales, stock, and other data statistics.
  • Reviewing historical sales trends
  • Modeling the data to forecast future demand and inventory optimization.
  • Obtaining information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays.
  • Gathering updates on vendors, distributors, sales, and other stakeholders that can affect demand.
  • Developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
  • Coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances.
  • Active participation in S&OP meetings and discussions.
  • Interacting with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Providing input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Refining systems and methods to improve forecasts to better anticipate customer needs.
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
  • Available to travel domestic and international.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and use of Epicor ERP System and SMART Suite Forecasting/Demand planning and Inventory Optimization Software desired.
  • 3 years’ experience as a forecast analyst or demand planner is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain disciplines.
  • High level proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel & Power BI
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution.

Reporting to this position: No direct reports

Physical Demands: Subjected to lifting fifty (50) pounds, Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing, and sitting, with or without accommodation.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
