RetroAIM, LLC is Hiring a Human Resources Manager/Generalist Near Chesapeake, VA

RetroAIM, LLC, a newly established company formed from the merger of Retro Insulation and AIM Services, is expanding and looking to add a HR Manager/Generalist to our team! RetroAIM proudly provides services in mechanical insulation, demolition and abatement to the Hampton Roads (VA), Richmond (VA) & Salisbury (MD) areas, with more regional expansion on the horizon.

The HR Manager/Generalist at RetroAIM will be responsible for a wide variety of human resource/administrative functions within the office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support to senior level executives.
  • Mentor and coach staff.
  • Advance the overall structure and tools to maximize the staff’s potential.
  • Implement effective methods and strategies to secure organizational well-being.
  • Keep the office informed of current policies.
  • Display a high level of professionalism and carry out a policy of courtesy and superior customer service.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support staff in other assigned projects.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Sending out offer letters (when applicable)
  • Welcoming new employees
  • Providing information on benefits and company policies
  • Handling terminations, especially involuntary terms
  • Maintaining HR compliance (employee notices, DOL regulations, etc.)
  • Reviewing and updating of company handbook
  • Assistance with annual selection of benefits

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma and some college preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office is critical.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Superior communication, time management, and organization skills.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven, ever-changing environment.
  • Effective communication with all levels of our company.
