Job Skills Requirements

• Ability to follow a facility cleaning schedule.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others as well as function independently.
• Aware of, adheres to, and promotes, the policies and procedures of Park Place including resident’s rights of privacy and dignity.
• Aware of, and adheres to, all state and federal regulations, and RHF Staff Handbook.
• Demonstrates cooperative teamwork in all duties.
• Ability to demonstrate high quality communication with residents, family members, staff, supervisors and community contacts.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all laundry and housekeeping equipment, procedures, and facility cleaning.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of pattern vacuuming, sanitary cleaning procedures, laundry requirements, and safety requirements.
• Responsible to follow the housekeeping schedule for apartment and facility cleaning.
• Aware of and maintains resident and staff confidentiality.
• Responsible to document maintenance requirements in resident apartments, report any concerns for resident health issues to supervisor and/or licensed nurse.
• Demonstrates high quality communication skills with residents, family members, staff, and department supervisors.
• Responsible to be courteous, polite and professional to all residents, family members, and staff.
• Performs any other job related tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

At least one year experience in facility housekeeping and laundry, or closely related field. Previous experience working with the elderly preferred. Must have good organizational skills. Must have a good working knowledge of housekeeping and laundry systems and understand all aspects of professional cleaning. High School education desirable, must have ability to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
