Retina Group of Florida is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Sarasota, FL

Company Description

The Retina Group of Florida is a multi-physician, multi-office and growing ophthalmology practice specializing in diseases of the retina. We are currently seeking a full-time ophthalmic technician to join our team in our southern locations in Broward County. The Retina Group of Florida prides itself on first class patient care, and creating pathways for employee growth. The position is full-time with excellent benefits.

Job Description

The ideal candidate:

  • Should possess excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills with compassion to patients.
  • Should exhibit a professional demeanor and work well with others.
  • Should exhibit flexibility and reliability. This position is full time and requires local area travel.
  • Should possess the ability to learn new information and task, solve problems and multi-task.

Qualifications

  • 1 year recent ophthalmic technician experience preferred.
  • COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.
  • Applicants with experience should be proficient in patient triage and work-up; including tonometry and assisting physicians with minor office procedures.
  • Increased consideration given to applicants WITH experience in the areas of OCT, scribing and/or electronic medical records.
  • Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits available following probationary period.
