Job DescriptionWe have a full-time position open in our Wellington office! The Retina Group of Florida is a multi-physician, multi-office and growing ophthalmology practice specializing in diseases of the retina. We are currently seeking a full-time insurance coordinator to join our team in our Wellington location in Palm Beach County. The insurance coordinator position is full-time with excellent benefits. The insurance coordinator performs insurance verifications, obtains referrals, authorizations and specialty pharmacy orders. Responsibilities also include assisting patients with insurance questions, copay assistance and outstanding balances Insurance Coordinator Responsibilities:
Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits
Obtains referrals and authorizations
Enrolls patients in financial assistance programs
Identifies payer policies and guidelines
Knowledge of multiple insurances, referral and authorization process
Troubleshoot insurance claims issues
Develop competency with EMR and practice management system
Insurance Coordinator Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills to clearly communicate with patients, physicians, and staff
Computer proficiency for an office nearly 100% electronic (Microsoft 365, uploading, downloading, multiple payer portals, document transfer,etc.)
Ability to work in multiple software programs/applications
Exhibit patience and compassion
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Ability to multitask in an extremely fast paced environment
