Retina Consultants is a private opthalmology practice in Muncie Indiana. Our physician has specialty training in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. We have been in business for 15 years, and our physician has been serving Muncie for 25 years.

Full or part time position for assistance in an ophthalmologist’s office. Full or part time to be determined based on applicant’s availability and the proper fit with our needs. Applicant will float between the front desk and as a clinical technician. Front desk work responsibilities will include patient registration, appointments, and telephone inquiries, and managing medical records. Additional valuable skills would include electronic medical records. Clinical responsibilities would include patient history and basic eye examination, and assisting the physician as needed for minor procedures, lasers, and other procedures in the office. Additional valuable skills would include ophthalmic photography experience, venipuncture, and electronic medical records. The ideal candidate would be able to cover either the front desk or assist in the clinic as needed on a day-to-day basis. Pay to be determined commensurate with skills and work experience.

**Requirements:**

- Anatomy and physiology knowledge to understand ocular structures and functions.

- Familiarity with medical terminology for effective communication with healthcare professionals.

- Proficiency in conducting vital signs assessments for patient evaluation.

- Experience with electronic health record systems like PracticeFusion for efficient data management. Experience with electronic patient scheduling; AdvancedMD a plus.

- Strong patient care skills to provide compassionate and attentive service.

- Understanding of ophthalmic diagnostic systems to perform accurate tests.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
