Work Performed:

The Sales & Catering Manager will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:

• Solicit new and past sales and catering groups through prospecting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
• Respond to all sales inquires, create detailed proposals, conduct site inspections and execute contracts.
• Negotiate group guest room rates, meeting room rental and food & beverage minimum.
• Complete, review, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Coordinate the client's needs and activities to ensure customer's expectations are met, and the property operates efficiently.
• Communicate group details and changes to all hotel departments.
• Monitor guest room block and blocked event space.
• Greet and touch base with groups when in-house.
• Aspire to achieve sales goals including rooms, banquet and ADR budget

System Experience

Demand 360, SFA Web, Lightspeed, One Yield,

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of previous catering sales experience in external sales; experience in upscale hotel operations is preferred
• Ability to effectively write business correspondences and set up contracts and function sheets
• Ability to professionally present promotional materials to prospective customers, and to effectively communicate and coordinate with operations and outside vendors
• Ability to forecast estimated revenue for private dining and catering contracts
• Ability to communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand request, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information
• Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic

Our Company provides a 401k plan through American Funds and there is a maximum 4% match (3% dollar-for-dollar match, followed by the next 2% being 50% on the dollar). Eligibility for our 401k plan is during an open enrollment period (twice yearly) after earning $5,000 in the six months prior to the next enrollment period. Based upon your start date, you would be eligible to begin contributions starting January 1, 2024, during the next 401k open enrollment period. If you are currently enrolled this will continue with the acceptance of this offer.
