reSTART® Life, PLLC., is currently seeking a Clinical Director to join its innovative team

The Clinical Director position is constantly evolving to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. This dynamic leader will be responsible for providing clinical direction and supervision to program leadership and staff while assuring the effective delivery of high quality care that is in compliance with county, state, federal regulations and funding source requirements. The Clinical Director must have knowledge of current leadership, management, and developmental performance improvement concepts, and the ability to participate in developing and implementing positive strategies to address opportunities for improving the quality and delivery of care.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Under the direction of the CEO, serves as a member of the executive management team, consulting on organizational, programmatic, planning, budgeting and other matters related to clinical treatment services administration and delivery
  • Pursue excellence and continuous improvement in business functions which support the organization's strategic plan
  • Create the clinical environment, processes, systems and training needed for a superior customer experience for employees, clients and partnering organizations
  • Working with clinical managers in the organization as trusted colleague, demonstrating empathy and concern while ensuring that organizational goals and objectives are met. Advising and supporting business leaders as they develop and execute their plans
  • Oversees clinical training needs of staff including developing, providing and /or securing programs to address those needs
  • Serves as a community resource and provides advice and counsel to reSTART® leaders on clinical and administrative matters related to mental health/substance use practice and current evidence-based and best practices.
  • Maintains an environment where it is safe to learn and grow as a professional
  • Works at fast pace with an urgency and focus on producing results and achieving goals
  • Manages multiple projects and activities simultaneously
  • Is creative and innovative when solving problems and generating ideas
  • Builds rapport and relationships when necessary to achieve results
    • Uses problem solving when making decisions, takes risks and makes quick decisions in response to change.
  • As is necessary in the course of conducting clinical work with a client, establishing and monitoring relationships with psychiatrists and mental health providers. Facilitating best care practice for individuals while maintaining positive relationships with community providers.
  • Demonstrates the ability and willingness to continually enhance efficiency of operational processes through teamwork across services to enhance client access and continua of care
  • Creates an environment that facilitates teams to initiate actions that produce results and to hold each other accountable to expectations.
  • Communicates with confidence, enthusiasm, and persuasively
  • Leads with an assurance that business results will be achieved
  • Delegates work as necessary, with follow up on timeliness and quality
  • Participates in and promotes a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings, training classes and supervision.
  • Help the organization provide transparent, useful and accurate information for stakeholders - investors, board members, opinion leaders and members of the general public
  • Influences and stimulates others to take action
  • Conduct and facilitates individual, group and family therapy as appropriate
  • Supports the methodologies for the evaluation of programs
  • Adheres to Policies and Procedures.
  • Is sensitive to the diverse cultural and situational needs of the clients in the program
  • Adheres to reSTART® Code of Ethics as well as ethical standards of the field
  • Contributes blog posts to support individuals seeking support for behavioral health challenges
  • Leads clinical training workshops and webinars
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical direction, supervision and coordination as appropriate for professional and other treatment professionals, staff and consultants.
  • Develops and manages direct staff, to include Residential treatment, Outpatient Services, Detox Services, Cultural Services, Recovery Support, primary care behavioral health services, and multi-disciplinary teams outside of direct span of control.
  • Engages other members of the senior management team to facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures that all financial solutions positively support reSTART® ’s evolving strategy, operational delivery, and data collection needs.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform this job.


Education/Experience:

  • Relevant clinically related Masters or Doctoral degree with current and valid licensure and/or certification by the Washington State Department of Health at the independent practitioner level as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor, Mental Health Counselor, Addiction Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Direct service work in a clinical setting treating addictions and co-occurring disorders
  • At least five years of relevant clinical administration experience at an executive management level leading quality, client safety, regulatory review programs and case management programs, including care continuation
  • This position requires some travel and flexibility of work schedule


Additional Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid Washington driver’s license with a driving record that meets agency requirements
  • Valid Washington State food handler’s permit
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Training

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

Masters degree in behavioral health discipline (social work, marriage family therapy, mental health)
