What You Will Do
We are seeking an experienced Defense Attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience for a unique opportunity as we grow our Ligation department, located in Plantation, Florida. Position Details

• This job is located onsite in Plantation, Florida. 
• Competitive pay and benefits are offered. 

Requirements

• Must have courtroom experience arguing motions in the South Florida Area.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Handles legal work on assigned cases and aggressively pursues files referred to Staff Counsel by the Claims Department.
• Creates and maintains a documented strategy for case handling in each assigned case to include a synopsis of the intangible factors, i.e., the judge, plaintiff attorney, aggravating factors, etc.
• Develops, organizes, and maintains document files consisting of pleadings, briefs, and memorandums.
• Ensures that all files are properly documented and organized.
• Provides prompt and timely responses to all telephone calls and correspondence.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of experience.
• Trial Experience is a plus.
• Attended depositions, mediations, hearings, and/or trials.
• The handling of insurance defense work is preferred but not required.
