Job Title: Painter 1st Shift
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30pm-4:00pm
Pay: $16-$20/hr depending on experience

Painter Job Details:

• Application of industrial coatings involves surface preparation and coating application to steel and concrete surfaces of complex industrial structures
• Understands corrosion theory and control, measuring and monitoring ambient conditions, basic mathematics, advanced coating calculations and the chemistry, technical data, and physical characteristics of complex coating systems
• Able to read and understand construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Able to operate, maintain and troubleshoot complex machinery and equipment including measuring and monitoring equipment, specialized pumps, compressors, electrical generators, and accessory equipment including, guns, hoses, mixers, and metering devices.
• Apply coatings within close tolerances for thickness, mix ratios, temperatures, and humidity.
• Utilize a painting spray gun
• Ensure coatings are applied in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions while also ensuring a professional and aesthetically pleasing fit and finish
• Industrial Painters are engaged in physically demanding work and must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
• Frequently handle, lift, carry and set up parts and equipment that weight up to 50 pounds and occasionally they may lift and carry items that weigh over 50 pounds
• Read and understand construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• All applicants must be able to follow directions
• Be able to lift and move 50 lbs
• Be able to work in confined spaces
• Must be capable of documenting batch numbers and trace-ability paperwork
• Must be self- motivated
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Bi-Lingual is a plus

Education and Experience:
• Previous experience painting on metal is required
