ResourceMFG is Hiring an Industrial Painter Near Jacksonville, FL

Now hiring Coating Applications Specialists for a metal fabrication company located on the Southside.

2nd shift: 5:00PM-1:30AM Monday-Friday

Paying $17-$21/Hr.

Responsibilities

  • Application of industrial coatings involves surface preparation and coating application to steel and concrete surfaces of complex industrial structures.
  • The CAS can apply coatings within close tolerances for thickness, mix ratios, temperatures, and humidity.
  • The CAS can ensure coatings are applied in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions while also ensuring a professional and aesthetically pleasing fit and finish.
  • By the nature of their work, coating specialists often work in dangerous environments.
  • They understand and comply with extensive health and safety regulations, policies and procedures.
  • They can protect the environment from hazardous substances used during the performance of work and ensure that hazardous substances are properly contained and disposed in accordance with stringent federal, state, and local regulations.
  • The CAS meticulously documents field activities and delivers reports intended to ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and administrative requirement.
  • Coating specialists are engaged in physically demanding work and must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Specialists frequently handle, lift, carry and set up parts and equipment that weight up to 50 pounds (23 kg) and occasionally they may lift and carry items that weigh over 50 pounds (23 kg)

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and understand construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • He or she has the expertise and technical skills necessary to operate, maintain and troubleshoot complex machinery and equipment including measuring and monitoring equipment, specialized pumps, compressors, electrical generators, and accessory equipment including, guns, hoses, mixers, and metering devices.
