1st shift: 6:00am - 3:00pm

2nd sift: 2:00pm-11:00pm

3rd Shift: 10pm-7am

Will train in either shift depending on the need of production. Will be on shifts for months at a time.

Monday-Saturday. Potentially working Sundays

Summary:

The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.

• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.

• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.

• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Skills:

• Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.

• 10 years experience required

Purpose of this team

•We build the Chevy Colorado and GNC Canyon. Also build fleet vans.

•This is a group leader.

•Make sure everyone is safe and is producing quality products

Typical Day in the Role

•Shift meeting recapping the [previous shift and going over quality issues and observe manpower. The GL will be responded to safety issues and hitting the target each hour. Hitting 50 an hour KPI.

•They will work with quality counterparts and work with someone in the body.

•Yes, chance for extension.

•Yes, participate in the GM Worker Shutdown days.

Candidate Requirements

•Manufacturing experience and union is required 2 years of experience minimum.

• General problem-solving skills is a must.

•Need at least HS and or GED
