RAFT is seeking an experienced Teacher (K-8) who is passionate about hands-on education, loves STEAM, and can inspire joy in learning. The Teacher is responsible for delivering a fully-designed STEAM curriculum in our summer day camp. We will look to you to work with staff counselors to engage our campers in hands-on learning activities. This role will require an educator with solid classroom management experience and willing to follow RAFT summer camp facilitation guidelines.
You will leverage your teaching experience to further RAFT’s mission to bring the joy of learning to students through hands-on STEAM project kits. By joining this summer program, you will be eligible to join our professional development training that inspires educators with a plethora of instructional ideas and hands-on learning materials.

Resource Area for Teaching (RAFT) promotes STEAM-oriented hands-on activities to inspire and engage students. RAFT provides recycled and low-cost STEAM learning materials, maker space support, and professional development workshops for over 8,000 educators and their 150,000 students in the Bay Area and nationwide.
To continue serving our community during school breaks, we develop and run our STEAM Dream Camp to support students, educators, and educators in training.
