THE JOB:

As an Assistant Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the culinary team, contributing to the creation and execution of exceptional Italian-American-influenced dishes. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all culinary operations run smoothly and meet the highest standards of quality and consistency

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Food Preparation : Assisting the head chef in preparing meals for the employee dining room. This involves tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking proteins in mass production.

• Menu Planning : Collaborating with the head chef to plan menus that are nutritious, varied, and appealing to the employees.

• Food Safety and Hygiene : Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment and prevent foodborne illnesses.

• Inventory Management : Assisting in monitoring and managing inventory levels of food and supplies to ensure that ingredients are always available for meal preparation.

• Supporting the Culinary Team: Training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are proficient in their roles and committed to upholding culinary standards.

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

• 2 years of prior relevant experience.

• Previous experience working in a fine dining restaurant with a focus on Italian-American cuisine.

• Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising or managing a team.

• Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences

• Describe themselves as detail-oriented.

• Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.

• Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
