Resist-a-Line Industries is Hiring a Mechanical Technician Near Joliet, IL

Job Overview:

Resist-A-Line Industries provides corrosion resistant linings for industrial tanks, tank trailers and industrial valves. We are celebrating our 24th year of operation and we are looking to grow our team of professionals in the corrosion resistant lining industry. Please review our company as we provide on-the-job training, monthly safety training and team-building exercises.

Mechanical Technician

You will be the starting point and ending point for our corrosion resistant process. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, demonstrate strong communication skills, manage multiple tasks/priorities, troubleshoot, and have a solid attendance record.

Responsibilities include:

-Disassembling and reassembling tank trailers for inspection and lining installation.

-Maintaining our fleet of equipment which includes forklifts and cranes.

-Prepare shipments for pickup

-Log and record incoming shipments

-Operate a steam generator (training will be provided by the owner of the company).

Physical Requirements

-Required to use hands

-Stand for prolonged periods of time

-May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp tools, push, pull or do fine manipulations.

-Use heavy duty power tools like power drivers and power grinders.

-Ability to lift up to 75lbs

Qualifications

-1 to 2 years of mechanical/maintenance experience

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts and related handling equipment

-Proven experience to work autonomously with limited guidance

-Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

-We prefer technicians currently living within a 15-to-25-minute commute to the southeast portion of Joliet.

-At least 18 years of age

-Be authorized to work in the United States

-High School diploma, GED or higher

-Able to pass a drug test and background check
