**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our medical practice. This position may be part-time or full-time depending on the applicant's needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, medical records, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Benefits such as healthcare may be offered to full-time employees, if desired.

**Responsibilities:**

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain calendars

- Verify patient insurance information and process payments

- Manage electronic medical records using systems such as Luminello or Simple Practice

- Manage referrals from other facilities by scheduling patients, requesting records, and forwarding notes to the appropriate parties.

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality

- Assist with administrative tasks to support the office staff

- Handle phone calls and inquiries efficiently

**Experience:**

- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred

- Proficiency with medical record systems

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
