Rescue Agency is Hiring a Remote Digital Organizing Supervisor

The Company

Rescue’s health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and after school programs; and other topics that promote healthy living. Rescue’s behavior change campaigns focus on diverse populations within adult (18 ), young adult (18 - 26), and teen (13 - 17) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide variety of campaign styles and strategies.

The Job
The Digital Organizing Supervisor is responsible for designing and leading the digital organizing and public education campaign for Rescue’s early childhood development effort. This role will work cross-functionally across Rescue’s client service team, creative, strategy, PR and media teams to ensure that creative ideas and experiences are brought to life flawlessly for digital organizing and public education campaign efforts across the State of California. A deep knowledge of digital organizing is essential for success in this role.
Day-To-Day Activities:
  • Collaborate with a team of communications and policy strategists to develop campaign strategy.
  • Build and manage a base of supporters and volunteers through digital advertising, social media, texting, phone calls, events, and other types of audience engagement.
  • Oversee community action activities such as pledge card signatures, community based public opinion polls, and solicitation of user storytelling content such as video testimonials, photos, and quotes.
  • Craft targeted messaging including blog posts, articles, fundraising requests, emails, social media posts.
  • Work with PR team and PR subcontractor to conduct meaningful earned media activities to support the campaign including press releases, press events, development of pitch ideas, and media kits.
  • Hire, train, manage team of organizers for digital organizing and/or events.
  • Host regularly occurring events (virtual or in-person) to engage volunteers by providing trainings, meet ups, and giving them specific actions to take to support the campaign.
  • Travel to and support events across the state and provide specific recommendations to improve quality, performances, target audience engagement, and/or use of approved technology and media elements.
  • Participate in the concept development process for new campaign ideas including ideation, content reviews, and participation in research studies to improve content based on audience input.
  • Provide timely, relevant experience recommendations and best practices to attract and entertain a broad range of parents and stakeholders to volunteer, donate or take action.
  • Work with creative, strategy, digital media, and social teams to effectively bring content to life in a way that best achieves campaign goals.
  • Lead the procurement and onboarding process for any tools and technology related to organizing, volunteer engagement, or campaign management.
  • Communicate with clients on weekly basis to present ideas, provide status updates, and obtain approvals as needed.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors related to campaign implementation or community events.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree 4 years relevant experience OR 9 years relevant experience OR Master’s Degree 2 years;
  • Client management experience;
  • Strategic thinking as it relates to digital and in-person organizing
  • Deep understanding of organizing and mobilization
  • Experience with software and web based tools for digital organizing and volunteer management
  • Experience managing events
  • Experience in project management and/or account management;
  • Experience working with traditional and digital paid media planning and implementation;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once;
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Proven comfort with numbers to perform basic financial tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Development topic areas
  • Experience working with moms, parents, caregivers
  • Experience working in California
  • Experience working with multicultural audiences
Location: Remote in California (Preferably Los Angeles, San Diego, or Sacramento). This position is remote. Rescue is a remote work-friendly employer. With limited exceptions, remote work is allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Careers@RescueAgency.com if you have any questions.
Status: Full-time
Pay Range: $65,000-$85,000 per year. Actual compensation is dependent upon a combination of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, level of education, and location.

Environment:

COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate:
All employees hired must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment. This includes employees who telecommute and work remotely. For Pfizer or Moderna, that is two weeks after an employee has received the second dose in a 2-dose primary series. For Johnson and Johnson (J&J)/Janssen, that is two weeks after an employee has received a primary single dose.
Physical Requirements:
Able to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time and stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the building for the performance of duties. Able to read from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours at a time including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources. Able to travel nationwide as needed to meet with clients, coworkers, or attend meetings and seminars.
