Company DescriptionAs a Sales and Use Tax Practitioner you are a member of our client’s network of sales tax experts who work remote with flexible hours. You will be provided a book of business and you become their outsourced sales and use tax department. You choose your workload and take on as many or as few clients as your time allows. The Company will give you all the tools you need to be a practitioner. Seeking sole-practitioners able to work 20 to 25 hours per week during the week between 9AM and 5PM. Job DescriptionProvide sales and use tax services on a monthly basisTranslate and import client sales and use tax dataPrepare and review standard and customized reportsManage and apply eligible creditsPrepare and manage monthly cash requestsReconcile payments made on behalf of client and cash received from clientAssist client with reconciling their GLMaintain an accurate client tax calendarPrepare and transmit accurate and timely sales and use tax returns to jurisdictions in accordance with the client tax calendarCommunicate proactively with clientRespond to client’s specific sales and use tax questions and requestsResolve all sales and use tax-related jurisdictional matters.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in AccountingCPA, CMI, OR 5 years S&U tax compliance experienceComfortable with working part-timeClient-first, white glove service mentalityRequired: (must have the following)Dedicated home office workspaceReliable high-speed internet connectionActive office or cellular telephoneLaptop with Windows 10 Operating System and minimum i5 processor, 8GB RAMPrinter, scannerAdditional InformationYou will be provided with:Thorough training and onboarding where you learn our clients process and systemsA coach assigned to help onboard you and help you build a successful practiceClient work – no business development requiredOffice 365 subscription with built-in backup featuresResearch toolsSales tax compliance softwarePay StructureYou will be required to sign a Practitioner Agreement with our client, that, among other things, establishes the revenue share for each client that Practitioner serves.
