**Senior Full Stack Engineer, Delivery and Returns Experience**

at Rent the Runway Brooklyn, NY (Rent the Runway HQ) The **Delivery and Returns Experience** team sits within the Consumer Engineering team. We work closely with both the membership and the transportation teams to deliver a smooth returns experience for our customers while optimizing for cost savings for the company. We are smart, pragmatic, and entrepreneurial. We practice continuous integration & test-driven development, engage in constant peer code reviews & pair programming, and work hard to give back to the software community through open-source contributions. Our **Software Engineers** use a service-oriented architecture to power our internal mobile app, website, warehouse operations technologies, and other applications. In this role, you will work on both new product features and technical enhancements as we believe in building for the future to enable performance and scaling. * Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, testing and deployment of consumer microservices.

* Find architectural and internal design improvements to enable rapid growth in traffic

* Drive technical projects to success and provide mentorship in a fast-paced startup environment

* Develop clean, testable, scalable systems using **ReactJS, Redis, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin Dropwizard, RabbitMQ, MySQL, MongoDb, Kotlin, SpringBoot, Splunk**, and various other open-source technologies.

* Deliver software on a sustainable schedule that keeps work-life balance in mind.

* Work with business stakeholders to identify software solutions to business challenges.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product, Analytics, Marketing, Creative, and Design

* Contribute technically to projects by being a hands-on coder and removing roadblocks

* You have a BA/BS in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent practical experience with OOP concepts and design patterns using Javascript and Java (or similar languages)

* You have 3 years of professional experience in software development, working on robust, complex systems that serve a high volume of users

* You have experience in modern frameworks and design patterns (MVC, REST, React, Redux)

* You are comfortable working with various architectural patterns and understand when best to apply them.

* You have a strong command of algorithms, data structures, and best practices

* You have a passion for bringing great products into our world through collaboration and ingenuity

* Youre able to understand, diagnose, and effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

* Youre able to handle ambiguous problems and make the tradeoffs without compromising quality
