Renold is Hiring a Production Supervisor - Heat Treat Near Morristown, TN

Renold, located in Morristown, Tennessee, is currently recruiting for the role of Production Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a 24/7 heat treat operation including but not limited to department safety, quality, delivery, personnel and equipment. Equipment currently includes belt line furnace, multiple internal quench furnaces, anneal and stress relieving operations, induction hardening, and shot blast. Ensures materials meet expected properties (surface and core hardness specification and/or case depth).

This position supports safe operation of the plant using company procedures, guidelines, and training to ensure safety and security of all employees in their charge. Supports proactive and reactive systems to address accidents/incidents, and general improvement of EHS standards in the plant.

Communication with team members via team briefings, tool box talks, training and presentations where required. Foster team approach by firm but fair leadership with all employees.

Daily production reporting to line management via daily reports and shift turnover. Maintenance of accurate SAP bookings for production order labor and material movements.

Support continuous improvement in all areas of the plant to include Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Reduction. Recommend changes and improvements to current processes.

Manage and maintain time and attendance for employees. Manage performance issues with the support of Management and HR.

Ensure accurate execution of production plan to support on time delivery and best use of production capacity and resources in the most cost effective manner.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required :

Must have 3 years manufacturing experience with leadership experience

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple shifts

Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Experience working in ISO / QMS systems

Must have Microsoft office and ERP system experience

Must be a highly motivated individual capable of working independently

Must be a strong leader with good oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through team members and resources

Supervision experience to include employee hiring, retention, discipline, and training/development

Communication – Ability to read, and interpret general prints and technical procedures. Ability to communicate procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of operators and managers

Analytical –Uses intuition and experience to determine proper set ups or programs; Designs work flows and procedures for maximum efficiency. Perform measurements using devices such as caliper, micrometers, height gauge, etc.

Problem Solving – Proactively identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Dispositions non-conforming components and ; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations

Technical Skills - Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build

knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office, and manufacturing software such as SAP. Forklift license preferred

Education or Professional Qualifications Required:

High School diploma or equivalent
