Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. SUMMARY:

Operates electric, gas powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as Lift Truck, (Hyster) boom, scoop, or elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move finished products, equipment, or dry supply materials by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus to deliver, stack and unstack pallets of dry goods and supplies, finished or cribbed product recording item and count of stock delivered or received.

  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
  • Perform physical product inventory as required.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules as required.
  • Must be able to effectively use WMS
  • Operate any assigned equipment
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Must be flexible to work in all areas of the facility
  • Occasionally stack finished cases and remove damaged cases as required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Company’s pre-employment testing
  • Adhere to company policies, including safety, attendance and punctuality
  • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Incumbent must hold a valid Renfro PIT Operator’s License and a valid driver’s license.
  • An appropriate job-related test is required.
