Title: Construction Assistant Operations Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Material & Equipment Expediter efficiently manages the flow of materials, vehicles, and equipment in support of construction projects. Utilizing the warehouse and equipment management systems, this individual ensures the accurate tracking and reporting of materials received and equipment issued. The coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the vehicles, equipment, and tools by conducting thorough inspections before and after use.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management:

· Process, update, and track purchase and job orders for received material using the warehouse management system.

· Address any discrepancies in material shipments and communicate with purchasers and warehouse team as necessary.

Equipment & Vehicle Dispatch:

· Oversee the issuance of vehicles, tools, and equipment to authorized personnel.

· Ensure that any issued items are logged with accurate details including the name of the personnel, date of issuance, expected return date, and any other pertinent details.

· Collaborate closely with departments to understand and meet equipment needs.

Inspection & Maintenance:

· Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment before and after issuance.

· Report any damages, malfunctions, or irregularities to the Fleet Management Team.

Record Keeping & Reporting:

· Maintain meticulous records of all transactions, inspections, and discrepancies.

· Provide regular reports on inventory levels, equipment condition, and any other relevant metrics.

· Recommend improvements or upgrades based on wear and tear of tools and equipment.

Team Collaboration:

· Work closely with the Logistics Department Team to address any issues or concerns related to fleet equipment or materials.

· Coordinate with other teams and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

· One year experience working in the Construction Industry

· Familiarity with warehouse management systems.

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

· The role may require lifting objects up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.

· Frequent exposure to loud noises, dust, or other warehouse environmental factors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
