Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in acquiring customers and driving growth through various marketing strategies. This position requires a strong background in content marketing, with a bonus for candidates with a journalism background. The ideal candidate will have experience in channel marketing, marketing campaigns, and demand generation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute content marketing strategies to attract and engage target audiences.
- Create compelling and informative content across various channels, including blog posts, social media, email campaigns, and website copy.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends, and use this information to inform content creation and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Utilize various marketing channels, such as social media, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising, to drive customer acquisition and brand awareness.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop lead generation strategies and support the conversion of leads into customers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content marketing, channel marketing, and demand generation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven 3 years of experience in content marketing, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns and content creation.
- Knowledge of channel marketing strategies and tactics, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.
- Familiarity with marketing campaign planning and execution, including targeting, messaging, and measurement.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt writing style to different audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Journalism background or experience in journalism-related roles
