Must have 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for medical testing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to obtain blood samples
- Label vials accurately and maintain patient records
- Process specimens for testing and ensure proper storage
- Follow infection control procedures at all times
- Provide exceptional patient service during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff for specimen processing
Experience:
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to laboratory procedures
- Experience in specimen collection processing and handling
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment
- Previous work in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred
